"This has become my favorite Mexican restaurant in Bardstown, not because it is the best Mexican food, not because of the atmosphere, because on Mondays they give you a 15% discount, and the food portions are huge, and they always make my food extra hot, (a common problem in Bardstown that the food at Mexican restaurants is cold), most of the waiters are very good and for that reason it deserves five stars"

"Local, local, local ... You want local Mexican food in Bardstown? El Patron does local. Nothing really fancy, just good cookin' in a little -hard-to-find restaurant near the Spark (HIlton) Hotel. Interesting decor inside with colorful furniture. Good value. No reservations needed and plenty of free parking. Can get very noisy inside too."

"The food was great, service was good. A bit off the main roads but worth the find. Fajitas were very good. July 2019 - we have always had a good dining experience here. We go at least once a month and always love the food, always sizzling hot and fresh. Margaritas during happy hour only $1.99, great deal."
